A huge amount of time and expense goes into training, equipping and housing each of our horses, and every Mounted Response Unit member and horse invests hundreds of hours in training and service each year.

The expense of Ranger and mount training is borne by the unit. The Vermont Horse Patrol relies on individual and community donations to help offset these expenses so our services can remain affordable to any emergency services organization or law enforcement agency.

Donations of time, equipment, feed or funds help ensure that the Vermont Mounted Response Unit will be there when your community needs us.
